Barbara began her career in x-ray, before finding her passion for sonography. Drawing on her extensive experience in the field, she started a sonography program in 1999 and taught and managed the program for over 21 years, training the students in clinical, as well as the classroom. Barbara is credentialed in abdomen, ob/gyn, breast, neuro, and vascular through the ARDMS. Barbara's undergraduate and graduate degrees provided her with skills to train and work with adults. Her Master's of Education degree in Adult Learning, Training, and Development was obtained from Regis University. Barbara continues to advocate for students through her published materials and commitment to the profession.
